My name is Todd Watkins and I am the owner of Baby Safe Homes, Phoenix. I was born and raised here in the Valley of the Sun! I attended grade school, middle school and HS in the PV School district. I also attended Arizona State University where I studied Business and Communication. I worked in the financial aid industry for 13+ years before opening Baby Safe Homes six plus years ago. I am the proud parent of two beautiful red heads (Makenna, almost 7 and and Davis, almost 5). I enjoy staying fit, home improvement projects, playing sports, coaching sports and spending time with my family and friends.

After my daughter started to crawl, it was apparent how important it was to child proof our home and to provide her with a safe environment so she could learn, grow and explore without getting hurt. With an array of safety products on the market that can be used to baby proof your home, too much time was spent trying to determine which products would actually work. The opening of Baby Safe Homes has given me the opportunity and the knowledge to know what products WILL WORK! With the arrival of Davis in 2010, I was ahead of the game knowing I had the right products in the right places.

With every home I visit, I evaluate it as if it were my own home. I recommend products that will work, last and allow you as parents to have peace of mind knowing your child is safer exploring your home! My goal is to provide you and your family outstanding service before, during and after the job is completed. Many people put-off baby proofing because they do not have the time- there is absolutely no excuse for that. I have taken care of patients who have their babies fall down stairs, choke on door stoppers, and pull down furniture onto themselves. This can be prevented. Blind Cleats should be installed to keep blind cords out of reach of children

Baby Safe Homes

Get down on your hands and knees and look around from your baby’s perspective. This really helps to spot potentially dangerous objects

A secondary window lock or window guard should be placed on each window

Make sure all alcohol is out of reach of children. It is extremely toxic!

Infants should always sleep in a crib that meets current federal and ASTM standards

Mobiles need to be kept out of reach of children and removed as soon as they can pull themselves up

NEVER line trash cans with plastic trash bags due to the choking and suffocation hazard it poses.

Water temperature should be adjusted to 125-130 degrees or less to help prevent scalding.
